The Trance announces auditions for women for Riding the Bicycle
The Trance announces auditions for women for its upcoming production of Riding the Bicycle, a new play by Trance Founder and Artistic Director, Maggie Veach. Ms. Veach’s work is at once poetic and political as she dives into the sometimes turbulent waters of contemporary life with passion, humor, grace, and empathy for our fragile human condition. Riding the Bicycle closes the season for The Trance after having presented John Kirk’s The Third Richard in December. Trance Artistic Director, Maggie Veach, serves as both author and director for this premiere production. Riding the Bicycle chronicles the life of Ella, a young bisexual woman, as she maneuvers her sexual identity with humor, grace, and social complexity. Performances will be at The Edge Theatre on Friday, May 29th and Saturday May 30th. Both performances will be at 8:00 p.m.
The Trance is seeking a female actor between the ages of 18-35 to fill two different roles in the production: Amy, best friend to Ella and Tara, a woman Ella meets on a date.
The Trance is committed to compensating artists for their work. The Trance is also committed to equitable employment practices of non-discrimination and inclusion. This is a non-Equity audition.
